Discover Carter's
Percy Carter came to Canada in 1913 from England. In his search for work he landed in Simcoe, and began working at Brook Men’s Clothing Store.
After working at Brook's for over a decade, Percy was inspired to open his own store. With a bit of luck and determination, Percy's dream came true, with the launch of the very first Carters clothing store located at 12 Norfolk St. S. In the 1930’s the store moved to its’ current location at 42 Norfolk St S.
Carter's has always been a family business, with Percy's sons, Harry and Herb eventually taking over operations as they both shared their father's passion for business and style. After many more years, thriving in their community, the family torch was passed to Herb's son Cam in 1991, the 3rd generation of Carter’s to continue Percy’s legacy.
Cam and his wife Rose continue the Carter tradition of serving Norfolk County with quality service and timeless style. After being the heart of their county for many decades, Cam and Rose wish to spread their passion for top of the line fashion and family service to other communities through their online site.
